This project is a follow-up to the 2022 project which involved resurfacing Chardon Rd, east of Som Center Rd.  Construction is tentatively scheduled to be completed between March and October of 2024.  Detailed project schedule information will be refined in Spring 2024.

During construction, Chardon Rd is expected to be open to westbound traffic only.  Eastbound traffic will be detoured through Eddy Rd via Bishop Rd, Rockefeller Rd, and Som Center Rd.  To reduce the impact on traffic, the project is being planned for construction in two phases.  During the first phase, the portion of Chardon Rd between Bishop Rd and Rockefeller Rd will be resurfaced.  During the second phase, the portion of Chardon Rd between Rockefeller Rd and Som Center Rd will be resurfaced.

The estimated construction cost is $1.4 million.
