The Council consists of seven members, four are elected at large and three are elected as district council members. The City consists of three districts: District 1, East; District 2, West; and District 3, Central. See map here for District boundaries.Regular Council Meetings
Second and Fourth Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. All meetings will be in Council Chambers, unless otherwise noted.
Working Committee of Council Meetings
The Monday preceding each Regular Council Meeting at 6:00 p.m.
Regular Council Meetings shall be held at such place as Council shall designate in the City on the second and fourth Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m., except when such Thursday is a legal holiday. Special Meetings and Standing Committee Meetings of Council may be called based upon demand.
As the legislative branch of the City's government, the Council shall enact any and all legislation deemed necessary for the preservation of the safety and welfare of the community and provide for the orderly and desirable growth of the community for the efficient and orderly operation of the local government. Council approves the spending of taxpayer's monies, as executed by the Administration.
