3/23/2020 - An update from Mayor Gardner for Willoughby Hills Residents:

1. As an essential business, City Hall remains open for City business. As noted in prior posts, the primary point of contact for all departments (other than the Police Department) is the Finance Department/Mayor's Court windows located adjacent to the City Hall Lobby. They will take your package or direct you to the appropriate mailbox. The Police Department lobby remains open to residents 24/7 (entrance behind City Hall).

2. I am asking that only senior citizens or anyone who is considered vulnerable to coronavirus visit City Hall between the hours of 8:30 AM-10:00 AM in the morning and between 3:30-4:30 in the afternoon. All other residents should visit City Hall between 10:00 AM and 3:30 PM.

3. Tonight's City Council committee meetings have been canceled. The Council Meeting scheduled for Thursday is currently going forward, however, that may be changed, please check the City Home Webpage for updates between now and Thursday evening.

4. Mayor's Court will be going forward as scheduled for March 24, 2020, however, anyone having a court date can reschedule by completing a
Waiver of Time form. Please call Mayor's Court at 440-942-5050.

5. We encourage you to contact City employees by phone or email where possible. Phone numbers and email addresses are available on the City of Willoughby Hills webpage under the "Contact Us" button on the Home Page.

6. The City's playgrounds have been closed. Otherwise, the City's parks remain open, however, please remember to maintain appropriate distancing from other park users.

7. If you need to trash bags from City Hall ("yellow bags"), we ask that you call the Finance Department (440) 946-1234 and purchase them with a credit card. The City Service Department will then deliver the trash bags to a designated location outside of your home.

Finally, as suggested before, please consider taking a moment to text,
call or video chat with your neighbors, especially any senior citizens,
letting them know you are there to support them. They may be frightened
or lonely – hearing from a friend or neighbor can be a very meaningful
gesture while we are all still taking precautions and maintaining the
physical distancing necessary to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
